It’s time for a little break from posting and the “online world” – this space, other sites, and social media. Some things to attend to. 🙂
In the meantime, please check out:
- My winter walk around the property.
- The planning, rethinking, more planning process of where to plant fruit trees.
Started a new batch of kitchen counter herbs.
I’ll probably be “away” from Garden, Cook, Eat, Repeat for a month, maybe a month and a half. You might see me on Instagram from time-to-time as it’s my favorite app and adds to my joy. Please feel welcome to browse older posts (see the links at the top of the page) and drop in a comment or two. I will respond when I am back!
Before I Go…
I needed another indoor greenhouse and this year I’m trying out LED grow lights as well as the usual T5 fluorescent lights. These are the items I bought. Greenhouse (only for indoor use) is great. The LED lights are BRIGHT. I bought two, using one right now over my three herb containers, and I will probably buy a couple more. I’ll let you know if I see a difference by using the LEDs! (Update – I did not like using the LEDs… maybe it was the kind I bought, but I did not like how it affected my seedlings. In fact, I think it may have harmed them a bit. So next year I might skip the LEDs and stick with the old tried and true fluorescent – if I can find replacement bulbs as I need them!)
