Two photos from this past week…
The organic seed potatoes from Maine arrived! (Packaged fabulously and just a lovely box to open.) Wood Prairie Family Farm – what a treat to come home to! (Update, mid-June: Check out how beautifully these potatoes are growing in this blog post: June 23 – A Garden Update! )
And my bean plants – overachievers that they are – are flowering inside! (Egads!)
Seed Potatoes
I saw that some of the seed companies I buy from purchase their seed potatoes from the Wood Prairie Family Farm in Maine. I decided to buy straight from the source! Homegrown potatoes – like homegrown tomatoes – taste amazing!
Hank’s Xtra Special Baking Bean Plants Are Blossoming!
I hope it’s okay that they are starting to flower. They won’t be in the ground for another 3+ weeks!
Coming Up!
A lady where Mr. Gordon works gave him a chinois cone (Google it!), pestle, and stand. He’s going to run the tomatoes through it for the pasta sauce this weekend. 🙂 I’ll let you know how it goes! Update: Mr. Gordon wrote a post and included a video!
