Mr. Gordon has been working on a batch of sour dough bread. Yesterday, he baked a couple of loaves to accompany some soup.
Now, I’m not sure if he’s going to post up about his experience or recipe soon, but I wanted to give you a sneak peek. Nice and dense and tangy – perfect with the veggie and venison soup (made spicy with homegrown Joe’s Long Cayenne Peppers) we had for supper last night.
The first piece was tested fairly fresh from the oven, still warm and loaded with butter. Oh, that was very nice.
Second piece with the soup. Yes, very good.
Third piece… sampled when I was curled up on the couch later. Satisfying.
Hmm, this could be dangerous. 😉
One more note…
Yesterday we had our first real snow of the season! Yay!

Check out my growing “Digging It” page for a couple of new things I’ve posted: cat gloves and a cookbook that I’ve read, but never used as a recipe resource. (New “dig its” always at page top.)
Thinking About Gifts for My Baker
Now these are interesting. I wonder if Mr. Gordon would like one for Christmas? Hmm. 😀
