Took a walk through the gardens on June 29th to see how everything is progressing.
Loving the lushness that is growing! Here are a few photos…
Can you see our first zucchini?
Mr. Gordon pointed this out to me as we walked through the garden. How wonderful!
I love our Ruby Queen Beets!
They are so pretty and flourishing. I planted them in succession this year to try and get a sense of how to do that. Staggering the sowing is something I need to learn to master so we can not only enjoy fresh yields of our produce in summer, but also put up some for winter.
Trust me, we can grow potatoes!
All 4 kinds of potatoes are growing wonderfully! We have to put more compost on them this weekend.
Zucs and Cucs!
Here you can really see the deer netting Mr. Gordon put up to keep out the birds (specifically the Robins). This is a shot of our Black Beauty Zucchini and our Double Yield Cucumbers. And some Sparky French Marigolds!
Upper Garden Update
Great shot of our (new this year) upper garden. Tomatoes, peppers, lentils, beans, peas, corn.
Corn will be knee-high by the 4th of July
Actually, the Top Hat Corn already is! 😀
Lentils and Beans
French Green Lentils in the front, three kinds of beans in the back.
Peppers
The peppers are keeping on considering this has been a colder spring. My Sparky French Marigolds are blooming!
Dill is making an appearance!
Not much happening in our side circle garden (a little Basil, mostly) – but now there is Dill!
Gardening is My Religion
