While I was well-prepared for the December Season of Scurrying, we’ve still had a busy, busy month. A good month. A happy month.
We’ve attended a Christmas Caroling Concert, we’ve made holiday treats, we’ve happily opened Christmas cards, we’ve traveled (just a little bit) to celebrate early with parents, and we’ve made merry.
And now, ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas.
If you visit this blog often, you know I can get pretty wordy. This time around, let’s give these photos a chance to say 1000 words… From holiday windows and concerts in the Finger Lakes, to bright and sunny early Christmas celebrating in Western NY, we have been busy.
Enjoy!

May Your Days Be Merry and Bright!
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! It looks like your days leading up to Christmas were full of such good things.
They were, Bekah! Hope your Christmas was great, too!
What a beautiful post! I love all the pictures. I can really feel each and every one. Merry Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Hi Kristin! I was having fun taking photos at my parents’ house – there are many that I did not post.
Mr. Gordon must be paying a lot of attention to my interest in taking a bunch of photos these days… because he bought me a new camera! He gave me a Canon PowerShot SX530 HS for Christmas. I have just started to use it (not in these photos above) and I’m really excited.
ALSO, Mr. Gordon’s son gave me a Canon Sure Shot 80u camera because I love film photos! That will be harder to master, but I am so pleased. Just so pleased! 😀
If you get a moment, pop on by my other post – I was writing it as you were commenting, LOL! Click: https://gardencookeatrepeat.com/blog/after-christmas/ You have GOT to see my penguins. 😉
WOW! You are one lucky lady! Two cameras! The Mister lets me ‘borrow’ things from time to time but I have my old dslr that I use. Although to be fair, he did ‘give’ me a newer camera but it intimidates me. My old dslr is like a comfortable sweater. I feel all nice and cozy using it but don’t want to trade it out for a newer version because it might not be as cozy. Of course, the more I wear that new sweater the more cozy it will become, right? Hope you followed that logic! LOL!
Okay. heading over the other blog post now.
I’m glad you had such a wonderful Christmas! I can’t wait to see some of the photos with the new camera.
I love your logic, Kristin! LOL. And I get it. This new camera intimidates me a bit, but I have watched a few YouTube videos for guidance and that has helped. I’m hoping I get the courage to take more photos with me in them. Silly, huh? I’ve never been photogenic – even when I was young and slender.
Maybe the tripod is the push I need to come out from behind the camera? Hmm. 😉
I will continue to enjoy your photos for inspiration! I love your “eye”!
