Happy Sunday!
Today’s lunch picked from the yard before Mr. Gordon mowed:
Dandelion Fritters with Maple Syrup and Honey on the side for drizzling / dipping. Batter consisted of one egg, flour, baking powder, salt, pepper, milk, butter.
🙂 Recipe based on directions found here at Learning and Yearning.
Oh, and I recommend frying the fritters in bacon fat. But of course!
And finally… I don’t *think* I need to say this, but I will. Make sure that the yard or space that you pick your Dandelions from DOES NOT use any type of pesticide, weed killer, etc. Know your food source.

I have always loved Dandelions. Cheery yellow!
A dip in some batter, a little fry in the pan, viola!
Mr. Gordon was a little skeptical at first, but is now a convert.
Drizzled with a little New York State Maple Syrup…
You eat with your eyes first! Pretty flower in there. The blooms were soft on the inside.
Do you forage?
What gifts are you harvesting from your yard?
