The garden is in! Whew!
What a HOT day. I finally broke down and drove to Tractor Supply and bought a wide-brim straw hat. I’m pretty “flushed” from the sun! I’m not really a sun-worshiper, so being in 80s to 90-degree weather takes its toll. Still, it’s good to have sunshine and weather that will encourage out lovely new garden!

Planning Our “First” Garden
So we have been “planning” this particular garden for years…
We just didn’t know what the property would be like.
- How many acres we would have?
- What the soil would be like – rocky? Mostly clay? Wet?
- Where the trees would be. Will it be sunny? Shady?
- If it would slope to the south a bit. (It does!)
